Due to the enthusiasm of the public for his beer more Firkin pub/breweries were opened. It was not long before many Firkin pub customers asked David Bruce if he could help them try to brew his beer at home. Initially his notorious Dogbolter brewed commercially to an original gravity of 1060 was made available as a homebrew kit. This kit contains 1.8 kg of malt extract and makes just 24 pints of David Bruce's unique Strong Ale. This is a clear, dark brick red ale, full bodied with a fully rounded malty flavour and a long finish.

Our Beer Kit Enhancer contains 1kg of a blend of spray dried dextrose and spray dried malt extract which is simply added in place of sugar to any beer kit. Spray dried dextrose contains simple sugars which will encourage a very rapid start to fermentation ensuring little opportunity for any contamination at the vulnerable start of the brewing process. The spray malt portion of the Beer Kit Enhancer will improve head formation and head retention, overall flavour and increase the resultant body of the beer, making your beer more like the commercial equivalent. Muntons Beer Kit Enhancer is simple to use. Just follow the instructions provided on your beer kit substituting Muntons Beer Kit Enhancer where sugar is used in the original recipe. For simplicity, it is better to add the enhancer to the fermenter at the same time as the beer kit ingredients are being added and before the addition of any hot or cold water. Try the new Beer Kit Enhancer and you will be amazed at the improvement in your final beer. People who bought this item also bought:
