Citric Acid 100g

Citric Acid occurs naturally in most fruits and is the most popular single acid. It is simple to use and has a pleasant fruity flavour. May be carefully added to country wines to create an attractive flavour in otherwise low acid flat wine.

Citric acid is a versatile acidulant used by homebrewers and winemakers. As the main acid found in citrus fruits, it can impart a pleasant tanginess when added in small amounts.

Some key uses for citric acid include:

Adjusting mash pH for optimal fermentation in beer recipes
Balancing acidity in fruit wines to complement flavors
Preventing microbial stability issues by maintaining an acidic environment
Improving clarity and shelf stability through proper pH control

For best results, measure the pH of your must/wort before and after adding citric acid powder. Start with 1/4 tsp increments and test between each addition. Too much can overly acidify your brew.

Proper acidification is important for complete fermentation and reducing risk of infection. Our 100g citric acid will last for numerous batches. Store in a cool, dry place.

Due to the UK not being part of the EU we no longer offer any shipping to the EU.

We offer 24-hour and 48-hour Parcel Services, but this does not guarantee that the parcel will be received within this timeframe.

Normal delivery times are on average between 1-3 working days. But sometimes this can be longer During busy times

Heavy Parcels those over 1.5kg are delivered by Parcel Force or DHL

For those under 1.5kg We use Royal Mail 48 hour tracked service

if a problem happens with the delivery please let us know and we will do our best to help, we can talk to Parcel Force or DHL to help solve the problem.

We only know of the problem if you tell us about the problem, we can't help if we are not told about the issue.

1st orders with us, parcels will not be left with out a signature OR if we think they are a high value order over £120 parcels will need to be signed for.
