Dark Liquid Malt extract was used in place of sugar when brewing 'Dark Soul' black lager. Still awaiting the lager to condition, though the dark liquid malt extract does seem to aid fermentation and give it a black, stout-like colouration. The photo was on day 5 when the hops were added.
