FWK Creative Light Classic

Here is FWK Creative Classic, a light base suitable for brewing pilsner, light ale, or similar styles. You get to decide how to proceed with your choice of yeast, dry hops, and any other creative touches. We encourage experimentation!

The wort in FWK Creative Classic is brewed with 92% Pilsner malt, 5% Vienna malt, and 3% Munich Light. Magnum hops are used at 60 minutes of the boil, and Saaz is added in the whirlpool during brewing.

You can decide whether to add water based on your desired outcome.

Recommended Yeast: Fermentis US-05 yeast.

Estimated Values:

(20 litres is the standard method for the Fresh Wort Kit)

15 litres (no added water): ABV 6.8%, OG 1.062, FG 1.010*, IBU 32, EBC 10
20 litres (add 5 litres of water): ABV 5.3%, OG 1.047, FG 1.007*, IBU 28, EBC 9
25 litres (add 10 litres of water): ABV 4.7%, OG 1.042, FG 1.006*, IBU 23, EBC 7

Here are some ideas:

  • Hops: Add any hops of your choice for extra aroma.
  • Souring: Use Philly Sour yeast.
  • Gluten-reduced: Add Harris Glut Gone.
  • Increased strength: Skip adding water or add extra fermentable sugars (e.g., malt extract).
  • Lactose: Enhances smoothness and sweetness.
  • Other additions: Oak, coffee, spices, orange peel, fruit/purée, cacao nibs…

As mentioned, we encourage experimentation. However, having some concrete suggestions can also be helpful.

  • Pilsner: Brew a crisp pilsner by adding Saflager S-189/W34/70 yeast or opt for a more flavourful and crisp profile with LalBrew Diamond Lager.
  • Sour: Create a fresh sour by pitching Philly Sour, letting it work for 3-4 days, then adding US-05 yeast. Flavour with fruit purées like raspberry or passion fruit—sour fruits pair exceptionally well in these styles! Experiment freely—there are endless possibilities!
  • Kölsch: Use K-97 yeast for a fantastic, flavourful Kölsch.
  • Blonde Ale: Use US-05 yeast and dry-hop with 100g of Citra, Mosaic, or El Dorado for an exciting twist!
  • Hops: Add any hops of your choice for extra aroma.
  • Souring: Use Philly Sour yeast.
  • Gluten-reduced: Add Harris Glut Gone.
  • Increased strength: Skip adding water or add extra fermentable sugars (e.g., malt extract).

General Delivery Information

Due to the UK not being part of the EU we no longer offer any shipping to the EU.

Sorry to say We are not able to send any more products to NI due to the GSPR coming in to force on the 13th December 2024

We offer 24-hour and 48-hour Parcel Services, but this does not guarantee that the parcel will be received within this timeframe.

Normal delivery times are on average between 1-3 working days. But sometimes this can be longer During busy times like Christmas and Bank Holidays.

Heavy Parcels those over 1.5kg are delivered by DHL.

For those under 1.7kg We use Royal Mail 48 hour tracked service.

if a problem happens with the delivery please let us know and we will do our best to help, we can talk to DHL to help solve the problem.

We only know of the problem if you tell us about the problem, we can't help if we are not told about the issue.

1st orders with us, parcels will not be left with out a signature OR if we think they are a high value order over £120 parcels will need to be signed for.
