How Easy Is It to Brew?
Brewing your own beer at home is remarkably simple. This starter kit includes everything you need -except water and steriliser.
• Fermentation takes approximately 7–10 days.
• After fermentation, the beer should be conditioned for 3–4 weeks to develop flavour and clarity.
• Ferment at room temperature, ideally between 16–21°C. Avoid airing cupboards, as they tend to be too warm.
• Once bottled or transferred to a barrel, store the beer at room temperature for 7–10 days, then move it to a cooler location to help it clear.
• Properly conditioned beer can be enjoyed for 6 to 12 months when stored correctly in bottles.
What Else Do You Need?
The starter kit contains all the essential equipment to brew a quality batch of beer, however we advise steriliser to be used. While there are many accessories available, this kit covers the basics.
For your next brew, you may want to have:
• Another beer kit (Coopers kits are excellent, but any brand will work)
• Fermenting sugar or an enhancer, unless you're using an all-malt kit, which doesn’t require additional sugar
• Extra bottles or a barrel, especially if you haven’t finished your previous batch
• Additional steriliser, as it’s always handy to have more than you think you’ll need
