This VineCo Estate series Merlot style wine making kit includes the following:
• Wine Base – unlabelled large bag consisting of grape juice concentrate
• Reserve (if included) – smaller bag
• May contain Oak (granular, chips or cubes).
• Yeast Pack (up to 2 packages)
• Bentonite – helps yeast activity and removes proteins
• Potassium Metabisulphite/Potassium Sorbate packet – used to prevent
oxidization and inhibit yeast growth.
• Fining Agents – Kieselsol and Chitosan – Removes suspended particles,
which results in a clear, stable wine.
All the ingredients (other than water) that you need to craft your very own wine are included in the kit, so no need for additional sugar.
Please note: This VineCo Estate Merlot wine making kit does not contain any wine making equipment.
In addition you will also require the following wine making equipment:
Food grade plastic fermenter of no less than 30 L (8 US gal) capacity
23 L (6 US gal) plastic or glass carboy with bung and airlock
Syphon tubing
Hydrometer
Test jar
Thermometer
Large mixing spoon
Winemaking cleaner/sanitizer for the equipment
30 x 750 mL wine bottles with corks or stoppers
