What is Liquid Malt Extract?


Liquid malt extract is a thick liquid, amber-coloured syrup made from malted barley that has been brewed and concentrated. How is Liquid Malt Extract Made?


Liquid malt extract is made by mashing malted barley and water to create a sweet wort, then boiled to remove most of the water and to concentrate the sugars and flavours. The wort is filtered to remove any solids, and then liquid is boiled again to create a thick syrup. Depending on the desired colour and flavour, the wort may be boiled for varying lengths of time and may include additional ingredients such as hops or yeast. Once the syrup is cooled, it is packaged and sold for use in a variety of applications.

Due to the UK not being part of the EU we no longer offer any shipping to the EU.

Sorry to say We are not able to send any more products to NI due to the GSPR coming in to force on the 13th December 2024

We offer 24-hour and 48-hour Parcel Services, but this does not guarantee that the parcel will be received within this timeframe.

For those under 1.7kg We use Royal Mail 48 hour tracked service.

1st orders with us, parcels will not be left with out a signature OR if we think they are a high value order over £120 parcels will need to be signed for.
