LALBREW MUNICH CLASSIC™ Yeast 11g

LalBrew Munich Classic™ is a Bavarian wheat beer strain selected from the Doemens Academy Culture Collection in Germany.

It imparts the spicy and fruity aroma profile typical of German wheat beer styles. LalBrew Munich Classic™ produces higher levels of esters and phenols compared to traditional Belgian wheat beer strains such as LalBrew Wit™.

LalBrew Munich Classic™ has robust and consistent performance making it a great choice for a variety of traditional wheat beer styles.

A true top-cropping yeast, LalBrew Munich Classic™ can be skimmed off the top of classic open fermentation vessels using traditional methods. Styles brewed with LalBrew Munich Classic™ include but are not limited to Hefeweizen, Weissbier, Dunkelweizen and Weizenbock.

Munich Classic™ Microbiological Properties

Classified as a Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a top fermenting yeast.
Typical Analysis of LalBrew Munich Classic Yeast:

  • Percent solids 93% – 97%
  • Living Yeast Cells ≥ 5 x 109 per gram of dry yeast
  • Wild Yeast < 1 per 106 yeast cells
  • Diastaticus Negative
  • Bacteria < 1 per 106 yeast cells

Munich Classic™ Brewing Properties

Finished product is released to the market only after passing a rigorous series of tests
*According to the ASBC and EBC methods of analysis

In Lallemand’s Standard Conditions Wort at 20°C (68°F) LalBrew Munich Classic yeast exhibits:
Vigorous fermentation that can be completed in 4 days

Medium to High attenuation and Low flocculation
Aroma and flavour is balanced with prominent fruity esters and spicy phenol notes of banana and clove.

This strain is POF Positive.

The optimal temperature range for LalBrew Munich Classic yeast when producing traditional styles is
17°C – 25°C (63°-77°F)
Fermentation rate, fermentation time and degree of attenuation are dependent on inoculation density, yeast handling, fermentation temperature and nutritional quality of the wort.

General Delivery Information

Due to the UK not being part of the EU we no longer offer any shipping to the EU.

Sorry to say We are not able to send any more products to NI due to the GSPR coming in to force on the 13th December 2024

We offer 24-hour and 48-hour Parcel Services, but this does not guarantee that the parcel will be received within this timeframe.

Normal delivery times are on average between 1-3 working days. But sometimes this can be longer During busy times like Christmas and Bank Holidays.

Heavy Parcels those over 1.5kg are delivered by DHL.

For those under 1.7kg We use Royal Mail 48 hour tracked service.

if a problem happens with the delivery please let us know and we will do our best to help, we can talk to DHL to help solve the problem.

We only know of the problem if you tell us about the problem, we can't help if we are not told about the issue.

1st orders with us, parcels will not be left with out a signature OR if we think they are a high value order over £120 parcels will need to be signed for.
