Flavours from Citra Hops are Mango, Grapefruit and Lime
First crossed in 1990 from parentage including Mittelfruh, East Kent Goldings and Tettnang Citra was commercially released in 2007 by the Hop Breeding Company of Yakima.
Best used as a late and/or dry hop, tropical fruit flavours abound, typically displaying grapefruit, mango and peach.
Citra is now the mostly widely grown variety in the US having 20% of total acreage in the Pacific Northwest from the 2022 harvest.
Resistant to downy and powdery mildew, as well as verticillium wilt.
Citra - hops are known for their tropical fruit, citrusy, and floral aromas. They are great for brewing IPAs, Pale Ales, and other heavy hopped beer styles.
Citra hops are best used in the late boil or dry hopping stages of the brewing process. This allows the aroma and flavour of the hops to be fully expressed in the beer once tried you are going to be a hoppy brewer.

A: Citra - hops from a hop supplier should be stored in a cool, dark and dry place to maintain their quality. To last even longer once opened they can be stored in an airtight container in a freezer for long-term storage. This will help preserve the hops until the next brew day comes along.
